In August, first home buyers were the most active enquirers in New South Wales, while downsizers led the way in Queensland and Victoria.
Purchase timeframes varied by state, with buyers in New South Wales and Queensland most commonly looking to transact within 1-3 months, compared to a longer 6-12 month timeframe for leads in Victoria. When it comes to price point trends, 23.8% of enquiries on Victorian projects were for stock in the $750k–$1m range.
In New South Wales and Queensland, the most popular price bracket was $1m–$1.5m, accounting for 25.2% and 25.0% of enquiries respectively.
By suburb, Brunswick topped enquiry activity in Victoria, Norwest in New South Wales, and South Brisbane in Queensland.
