July data from Apartments & Developments revealed the first home buyer segment rebounded in Victoria, topping the state's list as the most active enquirers last month - while downsizers continued to drive the most enquiries in New South Wales and Queensland.
In terms of price point trends, 24.1% of enquiries for Victorian projects were for stock in the $750k-$1m range. In New South Wales and Queensland, the most popular price points were for stock within the $1m-$1.5m range, accounting for 27% and 28.2% of leads respectively.
The timeframe around making a purchase decision in Victoria and Queensland was 6-12 months, while leads in New South Wales were warmer, reporting they'd make a decision in 3-6 months.
The most enquired locations around the country were Brunswick in Victoria, Norwest in New South Wales and Palm Beach in Queensland.
