Last month, A&D's national leads data painted a clear picture of who's actively looking at new off-the-plan homes right now, and what they're prepared to spend.
Downsizers were the most active. At 29% of all leads in May, they were the most common buyer type on the platform - up 1% on April, and the highest share recorded all financial year.
When telling us what they had to spend, $1m-$1.5m came out on top - nominated by 24% of leads in May, up 3.7% on April and, again, the highest share recorded all financial year. For context, April's most common budget was slightly higher at $1.5m-$2m.
Regarding timeframes to buy, 27.3% of May's leads indicated a 6-12 month purchase window - up 2.8% on April. They're not browsing idly, but a 6-12 month horizon also means they’re not quite ready to commit.
