DCOH has expanded into Victoria through the majority acquisition of Melbourne-based Unlimited Commercial Constructions, marking a significant step in the Northern Territory builder’s national growth strategy.
The move establishes DCOH in one of Australia’s most competitive construction markets, combining Unlimited’s established local capability with DCOH’s 40-year track record delivering complex government, commercial, sport and recreation projects.
Victoria represents one of Australia’s largest and most competitive construction markets. The acquisition provides DCOH with an immediate Tier 1 operational platform, established local leadership and a strong project pipeline.
DCOH is a privately owned Australian construction company established in 1987. Headquartered in Darwin, the company employs more than 300 people nationally and is forecast to achieve $300 million turnover this financial year.
DCOH has recently completed the award winning $200 million Danala Education and Community Precinct for Charles Darwin University and is currently delivering the $389 million Robertson Barracks Base Improvement Project and the $150 million Darwin Civic Centre in partnership with the City of Darwin.

DCOH chief operating officer Lachlan Michell said the acquisition reflects clear strategic alignment between the two businesses.
“Unlimited has built a strong reputation in Victoria and brings experienced leadership with a track record in delivering complex projects," Michell said.
"The alignment in sector focus and delivery approach made this a natural fit."
Founded by directors Jen Burridge and Ben Bugeja in 2023, Unlimited has developed a solid client base including local government, tertiary institutions and private developers, complementing their extensive experience in delivering large scale commercial projects.
“We have built an exceptional team and a strong foundation in Victoria," said Burridge.
"Partnering with DCOH enhances our ability to pursue opportunities in our core sectors with the backing of an established contractor with long term financial stability.”
Bugeja added: “Our goals are closely aligned, and we share a disciplined, relationship-driven approach to construction.
"Being part of DCOH strengthens our financial capacity and delivery capability, giving our clients confidence in continuity and performance.”
With projects now spanning both the Northern Territory and Victoria, DCOH is strengthening its position as a nationally capable contractor with deep regional expertise.
